Whether a short holiday by the sea, a summer holiday with your family or an active holiday in the interior –
Istria has something for everyone.

Rovinj

It reminds me a little of Venice. The old town of Rovinj used to be an island and is still almost completely surrounded by water.
Rovinj combines in an interesting way the tradition of a small fishing village, which you can still feel today, during fishing festivals or in one of the Spacio’s (once very popular meeting places of the fishermen), with modern tourist trends, a rich offer of food and wines and a high standard of services.

Groznjan

On a 228 m high hill above the Mirna valley lies the small town of Groznjan. The small town of just over 160 inhabitants is a paradise for artists, art lovers and musicians. More than 30 studios and galleries of painters and sculptors can be visited in Groznjan. Every year numerous music events take place like a jazz festival.
During these times the visit of the city is probably the most beautiful, because during the walk through the old lanes of the city one is accompanied by the sounds.

Motovun

The romantic small town of Motovun towers above the Mirna valley on a 280m high hill, surrounded by the green hills of the Istrian region.
An alleyway paved with old stone slabs, the Gradisol leads past the Church of the Virgin Mary, many small speciality shops, through the old town gates to the lively old town centre of Motovun.
Motovun is especially popular with active holidaymakers and holidaymakers looking for peace and quiet.
The Mirna valley, which is situated on foot, is crossed by numerous beautiful hiking and cycling trails along the beautiful hilly landscape of Istria.

Barići

The small Istrian village Barići lies in the west of the Istrian peninsula on the Višnjan-Motovun road. It is 12 km from the sea (Poreč) and 3 km from the small town Višnjan and 3 km from the new motorway Kopar-Pula. In the surroundings of Barići there are beautiful meadows, grain fields and forests.
A beautiful view you can see up to the mountain Učka.
The area is famous for its delicious truffles, wines (Teran and Malvasia) as well as Istrian ham and Istrian sausages.
